Schwedhelm Scheurebe Zellertal 2022

At almost 40 years old, the Scheurebe from the Schwedhelm winery grows in one of the winery's oldest vineyards. The soil is characterized by clay with massive limestone in the subsoil. After hand-picking, the grapes were macerated for 6 hours. The fermentation took place in a cool place over 3 months with the aim of maintaining a balance between fruit and herbal aromas. On the nose you notice a slight melting of stone fruit paired with grapefruit and white pepper. Once on the tongue, the herbal spice of elderberry and eucalyptus develops and is complemented by a subtle acidity in the background. On the palate, the minerality calls for the next sip.
